Ottawa Senators winger Kaspars Daugavins tried an extremely creative move during last night’s shootout with the Boston Bruins. It didn’t work.

Daugavins kept the tip of his stick on the puck during his entire approach and tried to slip it through Tuukka Rask’s leg while spinning. Evidently it’s trick that worked for him once in the American Hockey League.

“Now I look like a fool,” Daugavins said after the failed try.

I don’t know about that. It was still pretty cool.
