Rory McIlroy And Erica Stoll Dined At A Rochester Restaurant And You’d Have Thought The Beatles Were In Town

With Caroline Wozniacki and J.J. Watt making very public appearances together, the pressure shifts to Rory McIlroy to follow suit with his new flame, Erica Stoll. At least, that’s how I picture high-profile celebrity breakups to work. Especially between two highly competitive people.

It appears McIlroy and Stoll, who were first linked back in January, created quite a stir at a Rochester restaurant on Saturday.

Like, a movie-star-in-a-small-town type of hubbub.

The Democrat & Chronicle has all the breathy details.

The top-ranked golfer in the world was seen Saturday night having dinner at 2Vine in downtown Rochester and then stopped in at Magpie Pub in the trendy Park Avenue neighborhood. The four-time major champion, who finished in fourth place in last week’s Masters, is reportedly dating Erica Stoll, a 2003 graduate of the West Irondequoit school district.

“As they were leaving, everybody in the restaurant was shouting, ‘Oh my God, that’s Rory McIlroy! That’s Rory McIlroy!’ ” 2Vine hostess Jordan Cannan said.

The dinner reservation for four was in Stoll’s name, said another hostess, Dakotah Schickling.

At Magpie, owner John Diamantopoulos said McIlroy sat with a few people around him. “I think he was trying to keep a low profile.” Diamantopoulos said McIlroy “seemed like a nice guy.”

ZOMG.

Now that I’ve read one, I want a full-length story on every single meal these two eat together. If someone writes it, I’ll read it.

Next time, though, we’re going to need to know what they ate. That’s a key detail and if you’re serious about food journalism, it’s a must.
