Roger Goodell has fined Marshawn Lynch an exorbitant amount of money all season for not talking to the media. Goodell went as far to threaten Lynch with a 500k fine just a few days ago if Lynch didn’t talk to the media during Super Bowl festivities. So it’s kind of curious that Goodell would turn down a media interview with NBC’s Bob Costas on Super Bowl Sunday.
Here’s what Goodell said just a few days ago when talking about Marshawn Lynch not wanting to talk to the media.
“When you’re in the NFL, you have an obligation, an obligation to the fans. It is part of your job, and there are things in all of our jobs that we have to do that we don’t necessarily want to do.”
he said this too.
"I'm available to the media almost every day of my job professionally." Goodell has rejected every interview request I've made since 2012.
