Robin van Persie’s Incredible Header is the Only Thing People are Talking About This Morning

After falling behind 1-0 to Spain, one couldn’t blame the Dutch for having deja vu from 2010’s title match loss. But wily veteran Robin van Persie had other plans.

His incredible header evened things up and all but secured goal of the tournament honors. It also set in motion a monumental thrashing by the Oranje, who ripped off five consecutive goals to stun the defending champions.

Even if you hate soccer — and plenty have been vocal about their disinterest in the tournament — it’s impossible not to appreciate the athleticism required to pull off something like this.

Hell, this belongs in a museum.

The only problem is that it’s not a tangible thing, so that could be difficult.
