The New York Jets proved once again why they are the New York Jets last night when incumbent starter Mark Sanchez was inserted into a preseason game against the New York Giants with the second-string offensive line. He promptly suffered a shoulder injury and left the playing field.
Coach Rex Ryan was second-guessed by reporters in the postgame press conference and to say he didn’t handle it well would be a massive understatement.
He invoked his freedom of speech, dancing backwards and answered questions sideways to … prove his point, I guess.
Yeah, it was odd.
The good news for Gang Green is that their trademark dysfunction is in midseason form.
