I've been to over 250 baseball games, sat in various locations of several different stadiums and not once have I ever caught a ball. 20-year-old Cincinnati Reds fan Caleb Lloyd not only caught one home run ball, but caught two home run balls from consecutive hitters on Monday night.
During the fourth inning of the Reds game against the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati pitcher Mike Leake hit his first homer ever and then three pitches later shortstop Zack Cozart clubbed his fifth career dinger. Quite a memorable night for a guy who had planned on playing MLB 2K12 all night until a friend offered him some last-minute tickets in the left-field bleachers. It turns out the Lloyd left the game with no home run balls. He gave the Cozart ball one to his friend who gave him his ticket and gave the Leake home run ball to the pitcher since it was his first Major League homer. Lloyd said it was the best day of his life.
