As the coordinator of BroBible's Fall 2010 Tailgate Tour, I've essentially been living the modern-day anthropologist's dream for the last three months, traveling to different college towns across the country and doc*menting the parties and tailgates, booze and babes that comprise Game Day at NCAA football's biggest powerhouses. Every school is different, but the common goal is universal: go out, get f*cked up, and hook up. Oh, and maybe watch some football. We quickly learned what factors differentiated the various tailgate experiences: geography (weather is crucial), administration-enforced regulations, and, of course, the level of talent (football and otherwise).
And yet our tour held some surprises. Duke, where no one cares about the football, was such a wild party that within a few weeks it was suspended indefinitely. At SMU, the tailgate was formal and strictly controlled — including hired bartenders pouring every drink — but still lived up to our expectations. UT-Austin's tailgate was so sprawling and decentralized (and filled with locals) that it felt more like a state fair than a college football tailgate. And even though the season was a write-off for USC, it certainly didn't feel that way on McCarthy Quad, home to the best tailgate we witnessed on our coast-to-coast tour.
After the jump, check out the video recaps of every stop on BroBible's Fall 2010 Tailgate Tour after the jump. And since we're already planning the Fall 2011 Tailgate Tour, Sound Off in the comments where you think we should stop.
