World’s Best Rock Climbers Compete On 55ft Wall Over A Pool, Watch Them Fall Off And Flop Into The Water Down Below

The 2015 Psicobloc Masters Series took place back in August and it featured the world’s best rock climbers competing against each other on a 55-foot wall that’s built out over a swimming pool, that way when the speed climbers drop off the wall instead of dangling in the air they plummet 55 feet down to the water. This year’s competition took place amidst storms, so the expert climbers were forced to deal with wet conditions. Naturally this led to about half of them falling off the wall and into the pool, forced to think about their failure all 55-feet down into the pool:

The 2015 Psicobloc Masters Series was held at the Park City Olympic Pool, and as Intertia Mountain explains just what this event really was: “What exactly is Psicobloc? For those who don’t know, it is effectively deep water soloing, or freesoloing above a body of water, preferably deep – no place for hydrophobia here.”…So for those of you wondering about that, there’s your answer.
