Prince Fielder is listed at 5-foot-11 and 275 pounds. Those aren’t usually the measurements of a particularly speedy athlete, let alone a baseball slugger. But the Detroit Tigers first baseman got a chance to show off his decent wheels (seriously) during last night night’s Midsummer Classic when the National League’s Carlos Gomez unsuccessfully tried to make a diving catch on a flair in right field.
Fielder capped the 270-foot trek with an epic and earth-shattering headfirst dive. It wasn’t the best moment of the game, but it was certainly the most entertaining.
