Penn State is Considering Changing Its Football Uniforms

It’s no surprise that Penn State is looking to shake things up in light of the unprecedented scandal that continues to rock the campus. Head coach Bill O’Brien said one of those changes could be altering the iconic and simple uniform worn in Happy Valley.

In a conference call with parents of current players Tuesday night, he said the old guard could get a major overhaul.

O’Brien also told the parents that he has talked to Nike about changing Penn State’s plain blue and white uniforms, a staple of the program for decades under former coach Joe Paterno. He also said he’s looking to put names on the back of the jerseys.

“It might be easier said than done (for this season),” he said. “I’m not sure we can get it done this year.”

That would certainly take some getting used to.
