Pat White Says Alabama Offered Him a Corvette If He’d Sign with the School

A few days ago Alabama running back Derrick Henry posted to Instagram a picture of his new ride. He named it Fiona. (Which is a very nice name for a car.)

Because this is SEC football, Henry was accused of being given the car by a ‘Bama booster. And now Pat White—remember him?—has kept the story going, writing on his Facebook page alongside a picture of Henry’s ride, “Stop pretending like you didn’t know the crimson tide has been doing this for years. Still glad I turned down a Corvette to become a mountaineer.”

Shots fired!

White was never officially recruited by Alabama, which you’d think would hurt his bodacious Facebook claims. But then again, Alabama has been questioned in the past for doling out improper benefits and all that fun stuff that you kind of believe happens everywhere in college football, but most of the time isn’t truly made public.

Anyway. I’m sure Auburn fans will think nothing of this information.
