In the first inning against Houston last night, San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval stumbled over to make a catch in foul territory, but ended up bobbling the ball twice. On the second missed swipe, he batted it a good eight feet away. But shortstop Brandon Crawford was johnny-on-the-spot and made a diving grab before it hit the ground.

Crawford may want to pursue a career on the professional beach volleyball circuit when his baseball-playing days are over.

The Astros, who lost again, may want to consider just giving up.
