‘Out-of-control situation’ ends in Hope Solo being arrested on domestic violence charge

Soccer star Hope Solo was arrested on Friday night for allegedly attacking her sister and her nephew at the home she shares with her husband, former NFL player Jerramy Stevens. Police were called to the Washington residence for an assault and a noise disturbance.

Kirkland police Lt. Mike Murray described the scene:

“There was a big party going on at her house. It was an out-of-control situation.”

At the party Solo allegedly struck her sister and her nephew. “There were visible injuries on them,” Murray said.

The 32-year-old Olympic gold medalist soccer star is being held without bail for investigation on two counts of domestic-violence assault at the South Correctional Entity Regional Jail in Des Moines, Wash.

You may recall that back in November 2012, her then-boyfriend Stevens was arrested for allegedly assaulting Solo. In that occasion a stun gun was reportedly used to break up the altercation. Apparently whatever ever doesn’t kill them makes their love stronger, because hours later Stevens and Solo got married. Hopefully this melee leads all of Solo’s family to get a closer bond.
