Football powerhouse and uniform innovators for the last decade, Oregon is never a stranger to grabbing headlines. In 2006, USA Today informed the world of the 384 uniform combos that could be worn by the boys in Eugene. Once again, The Ducks are re-grabbing national attention with their newest threads that will be worn this Thursday when they take on California.
The latest uni has a bit of a resemblance to a certain Disney hockey team but overall I love it. How could you not ? The team has so many different uniforms that Mike Princip started tracking every uniform they wore in 2009 and 2010. Jake Hurley took over the project for this season. The most comical thing about these "retro" jerseys is that Oregon never actually wore them in the past (though there's a rumor they look like the Ducks 1995 Rose Bowl jerseys). They now have so many uniforms that they can create new "retros".... And I love it. As my good friend Mike Carven once told me, "You look good, you feel good, you play good."
