We take you Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia for the Darts Invitational Challenge. However the darts match quickly turned into an all-out skirmish. In the match between Dutchman Michael ‘Mighty Mike’ van Gerwen and Australia’s Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock was going swimmingly up until chaos erupted.
Play between the top-ranked players on the Professional Darts Corporation circuit was interrupted when the rowdy crowd began throwing chairs, tossing tables and fighting each other. The best part is that many of the spectators were dressed up for the match. There were grown men dressed as Batman, English knights and Fred Flintstone; and they all threw down with fury. I think that the Joker is behind the riot because some men just want to watch plastic chairs be thrown.
