Watching a sporting event and getting obliterated off beer and/or shots goes together like fucking peanut butter and jelly. But when fans get a little too buzzed and start pouring/wasting beer by dumping it on opposing players, that’s when shit gets a little too fucked up.
During yesterday’s Aussie League hoops game between the Illawarra Hawks and Sydney Kings, Marcus Thornton of the Kings received an unexpected brew pour on top of his head by some old jackass sitting under the basket, causing the bearded beer bandit a first-class escort out of the arena for his gesture.
Thornton played it off after the game like a good sport by saying, “It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is and we move on.” Way to take the high road, Marcus, because if that were me, it might have ended with a couple 1-2 combos to the dude’s face.
