When Urban Meyer urged regular students at Ohio State University to come out and compete in a 40-yard-dash against his well-oiled football machines he didn’t account for a student by the name of Malcolm Branson and how embarrassing it would be if any of his speedsters lost in a race to a random college kid. Thankfully, that’s exactly what happened.
According to College Spun:
Urban Meyer wanted to see who the fastest student on campus was, so over the past couple weeks, there were trials at the football facility. Students could come, run a 40-yard dash, and potentially be selected to race some of the football players at halftime of today’s spring game. The race took place moments ago.
In the race, student Malcolm Branson tied defensive back Doran Grant and beat speedster H-back Dontre Wilson.

An Ohio State student beat H-back Dontre Wilson in a race. Really. http://t.co/XKo8AzcgSJ — Land-Grant Holy Land (@Landgrant33) April 12, 2014
The judges call it a tie, however, and after running again Doran Grant is named the winner.
