Ohio State Has ‘National Championship’ On Its Schedule, Still Refuses To Call Michigan ‘Michigan’

The Ohio State Buckeyes have begun spring practice and hope to defend their national title. They have a schedule hanging in the practice facility listing all the upcoming games, which is a fantastic idea because a forfeit would have an adverse impact on a championship chase.

As you may expect, confidence in Columbus is sky-high.

After the Buckeyes’ final regular-season game against That Team Up North, there are listings for the Big Ten Championship game and then two College Football Playoff tilts.

And they should. What fan doesn’t want their team entering a season thinking they’ll win every game? A Purdue fan or something?

On a related note: the whole not-saying-Michigan thing is cheapened a bit by using it in Michigan State. Perhaps they should start calling the Spartans “That Other Team Up North” now that East Lansing is home to a legitimate contender.
