It was a tough NCAA tournament for scorer’s tables. First, the courtside banner next to Syracuse’s bench asked if viewers thought student-athletes were “just a bunch of dumb jocks” while everyone was still buzzing about Fab Melo’s academic-based ineligibility. Then last night, with everyone watching, the scrolling video board boldly invited us all to get excited about next year’s Final Four in Alatna – wherever that is.
