Last week, the WWE signed 26-year-old Australian bodybuilder Chris Atkins to a developmental deal. Atkins attended a WWE tryout a few months ago and just found out he’ll be joining WWE developmental.
The 26-year-old bodybuilder moved from his hometown of Ringwood, Melbourne, Australia to pursue a career in acting, specifically in professional wrestling. He’s been a fan since childhood and his love of wrestling is all John Cena’s fault.
“I turned on the TV and first person I saw was John Cena wrestling and thought holy cow! This guy’s pretty damn big. So I was a Cena fan from day one and loved wrestling ever since,” he said.
Atkins posted a photo alongside another bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the 26-year-old made the 67-year-old REALLY look like an old man.
“Debuting on Monday Night Raw is a day I very much look forward to,” Atkins told News.Com.Au.
