Justin Verlander threw behind Nelson Cruz this afternoon, two days after teammate Torii Hunter was beaned by Orioles pitcher Bud Norris. Cruz grabbed his crotch in response and stared down Verlander because sometimes sports is stupid.
That appears to be end of the shenanigans…for now. Miguel Cabrera came up the next inning with no incident. But who knows, we’re only in the 5th inning so this could get ugly. Stay tuned.
