On July 12, 1979 the Chicago White Sox held a Disco Demolition Night where they had fans bring in disco records and then they were destroyed on the field in between the two games of a double-header. Unfortunately the explosion torched the outfield, and fans rushed the field, forcing the team to call off the second game. Hoping to get the same enthusiasm minus all the damage, the Charleston RiverDogs held “Disco Demolition 2.” However instead of disco, the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees allowed fans to show their disdain for Justin Bieber and Miley Cyris by having fans buy a ticket for $1 if they brought in any item of the hateable pop stars. The fans seemed to enjoy blowing up stuff because it was a sellout.
That's right! @ChasRiverDogs gonna blow up some #Bieber and #MileyCyrus tonight!! #praiseGod pic.twitter.com/XHOfoAknZx
