So Fitting A U.S. Military Member Caught An MLB Home Run On This Memorial Day

Lucas Duda went yard in the 3rd inning of this Memorial Day’s game versus the Philadelphia Phillies for his sixth home run of the season. Of course a U.S. Navy Sailor made the grab after the ball sailed over Grady Sizemore’s head in right field. Some stuff is just meant to be.

As the Mets’ commentator mentions, “…how appropriate on this day.” Memorial Day.

If not for brave men like the armed service member on the receiving end of that bomb, well, we wouldn’t be able to sit freely and enjoy the great game of baseball on a beautiful, sunny day, like this.

Non sibi sed patriae, brotha.

Great to see you’re having yourself a day at the ballpark.
