Flores, who has played for the Mets his entire career, was told about the rumor from fans in the stands and instantly got emotional. In the top of the eighth inning you can see Flores tear up while continuing to play second base.

As it turns out Flores had not been traded.

Alderson adds that a trade with the Brewers "won't happen" before the deadline, either. Indicates #Mets are still looking for a bat.

Not completely sure what happened here but I’m kind of glad Flores will be able to stay with the team he loves.
