KUBoobs Twitter account ordered to shut down

The booberific Twitter account, @KUBoobs, received a cease and desist letter from the University of Kansas. The boobs themselves are not the issue but rather a wristband with the term ‘I <3 KU Boobs.' It violates the Kansas University trademark.

In the words of Randy Marsh, “I thought this was America, isn’t this America? I’m sorry, I thought this was America!”

“We’re not trying to shut @KUBoobs down. It’s one thing to have a Twitter account. It’s another thing to sell items with ‘KU’ on it, which is what they’re doing,” said Jim Marchiony, Associate Director of Public Affairs with KU Athletics. “That’s our federal trademark, which we always have to protect.”

POV Cleavage: 69 pics of boobs from her vantage point

The KUBoobs Twitter account is still going strong with a #SaveKUboobs hashtag campaign. They’ve gained close to 2,000 followers since the story came out last night. If there’s one thing Americans love, it’s boobs and apple pie. Pretty sure Thomas Jefferson wrote that in the Declaration of Independence—life, liberty and the pursuit of boobs. Sounds right, I don’t know, I failed American history.
