Kentucky isn’t having a particularly successful season but at least they’re having fun. The night before the Wildcats took on Vanderbilt, coach John Calipari had his players play dodgeball instead of practicing basketball. Lo and behold, it worked, as Kentucky earned a huge four-point road win.

The playground game was an attempt to ease the anxiety of the team before the season's homestretch. "This isn't life or death or we'd have died twice already," he said in a clip that appeared on CoachCal.com.

"After they were done, I said, 'why don't you go on the basketball court and have that much fun playing basketball.'"

There probably a lot of people who are jealous they didn’t get the opportunity to peg Cal with a face shot. You might be one of them.

Also, dodgeball is such an underrated game. All those hipsters playing it in leagues really have the right idea.
