Oakland A’s Josh Reddick Offers Another Answer To Why Michael Jordan Was Better Than LeBron James

It takes more than one guy to win a championship — I KNOW THAT — but when Michael Jordan’s teams got to the NBA Finals, his best was ALWAYS better than everyone else’s. His team was always better than everyone else’s, at least over the course of a seven game series. It is as simple as that.

LeBron James hasn’t shared in that same success. Even when he’s had a formidable “supporting cast,” James hasn’t always come out a winner. And if this series keeps going the way game one did, LeBron’s NBA Finals winning percentage will be a whopping 33%. Compared to…well…you know…Jordan’s six-for-six flawlessness.

But as Oakland A’s Outfielder Josh Reddick pointed out, that’s not the only thing that separates him from Michael Jordan.

Per SF Gate:

“It’s a good story,” right fielder Josh Reddick said. “Nothing would please Warrior fans and the Bay Area more than to see the Warriors take down LeBron (James). Dethrone him. As good a player as Lebron is, he’s not unbeatable. He’s not Michael (Jordan). When’s the last time LeBron saved the earth from an alien race?”

LeBron James is a great player who might, one day, reach 6 NBA championships, but the fact remains that he’ll A) never own an unbeaten NBA Finals record or B) defeat a team of physically superior aliens or C) be Michael Fucking Jordan.

I really don’t know why anyone would argue otherwise. Said the guy who had 40,000 pieces of Michael Jordan-related flair strew across his room as a child.
