As most know, a few weeks ago Josh Hamilton had a small relapse in his on-going fight against substance addiction. His relapse consisted of drinking four beers while out at a bar. To you and me, four beers isn't even an adequate pre-game let alone a cause for concern. And it's hard to conceive that he even had the constraint to stop there, considering we never do. When I heard that I was like "Bravo, Josh, way to cut yourself off. Show booze who's boss." But that's an ignorant stance when you can't relate to his addiction. Or addiction at all, for that matter.
His recent hiccup in recovery is his first since 2009 and yesterday he sat down with his pastor James Robinson on Glenn Beck TV for his very first interview since the drinking incident. I think he chose GBTV over ESPN because the interview gets heavy in parts -- at one point James even begins to cry -- and Jesus mention quite often. Still, if you've got 28-minutes to kill and you want a deeper look into Hamilton, the interview is below.
