Johnny Football is Not Johnny Attendance, Only Takes Online Classes

Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel lives a great life. He’s a transcendent football talent, has an incredible nickname, and does pretty well with the ladies.

He also doesn’t ever have to trudge across campus to attend class.

The Texas A&M star is currently enrolled in four online-only courses.

Apparently, he’s not the big man on campus. He’s the too-big man on campus.

“It just happened to work out where it was good after the football season with all of the stuff going on," Manziel told reporters at the Fort Worth Club, where he was scheduled to receive the Davey O'Brien Award as the nation's best quarterback on Monday night.

He added he was forced to switch out of an on-campus English course earlier in the semester because his presence was too much of a distraction. "I went one day -- it was a small class of 20 or 25 -- and it kind of turned into more of a big deal than I thought."

All of this is perfectly fine in the eyes of the NCAA but it must be disappointing to Aggies fan boys dying to catch a glimpse of their favorite quarterback.

This is why you can’t have nice things, guys.
