WWE Legend Charged With Murder 32 Years After Mysterious Death Of His Mistress

It might be hard for Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka to fly if he’s thrown in a makeshift birdcage. Alright, he’s also 72 but you see the picture I’m trying to paint here as the WWE Hall Of Famer is being charged with murder.

A former professional wrestling star has been charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of his girlfriend in eastern Pennsylvania more than three decades ago.

Prosecutors on Tuesday announced the results of a grand jury investigation of Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka in the death of 23-year-old Nancy Argentino of Brooklyn, New York.

Argentino was pronounced dead after authorities were called to a hotel room near Allentown in May 1983.

Snuka has maintained he’s innocent, bruh, and wrote in his autobiography that the death “ruined his life.” It didn’t ruin it like “he’s dead” the way to ruined hers but he only had like another decade of wrestling and fame after that and it ruined him.

The Snuka story has long been a wrestling mystery but wonder no more after reading an account of what police found and their pending investigation.

An autopsy of the young woman’s body showed injuries that were consistent with a history of domestic abuse – that she ‘suffered more than two dozen cuts and contusions — a possible sign of “mate abuse” — on her head, ear, chin, arms, hands, back, buttocks, legs and feet,’ according to a report by the Morning Call newspaper, which led to the district attorney’s decision to take another look at the high-profile case.

Initially, Snuka told at least five people – including the responding officers – that he pushed Argentino to the ground before her death. However, during his official statement to investigators, Snuka said that Argentino fell and hit her head when the couple stopped on the side of the road to go to the bathroom before returning to the hotel.

In a followup interview with detectives, Snuka’s high-powered boss, wrestling mogul Vince McMahon – who at the time was just getting his professional wrestling behemoth now known as WWE off the ground, with Snuka as one of his stars – was in attendance. After the interview with McMahon, the investigation effectively went cold.

The article doesn’t say why the case has reopened but deceased woman’s family successfully sued Snuka in 1985, and won $500K, of which Snuka has not paid a dime. Maybe he paid in coconuts?
