Yesterday, we brought you news that award-winning sports shouter Skip Bayless may have exaggerated claims relating to his high school basketball career. A nation rejoiced as the evidence seemed to indictate Bayless had talked himself into a corner. We didn’t anticipate the “First Take” host would ever be confronted with this story on the air because, well, that would just be too much to ask. We were wrong.
During his back-and-forth with the opinionated lat-pulldown enthusiast this morning, Jalen Rose alluded to the report. And Bayless didn’t exactly have a good comeback. He promised to address the issue later, which he didn’t. Instead, he meekly nodded in tacit agreement with Rose’s claims that he averaged less than two points a game senior year and was a member of the junior varsity team before that year.
It appears we won one, gang. That brings the current score to: Bayless 283, Public 1.
