Remember how fun it was as a kid to do cool shit with your dad? You know, going to baseball games, grabbing some ice cream or, who knows playing a little putt-putt during a long summer night.
Yeah, I’ve got a lot of good memories from that shit.
For PGA golfer Ian Poulter’s kids, though, they may not echo my same sentiment in a couple years, as their dad used the round of putt-putt as an opportunity to work on his putting stroke, absolutely demolishing his offspring in the process.
Rather than go easy on the youngsters and keep the scores close, Poulter—who’s the No. 34-ranked player in the world—went hard, finishing with a score of 32 during the 18 holes he played with his three kids.

“”Initially showing some sweet pics of he and his kids spending a day together on the putt-putt course, the golfer gave updates throughout the round, tweeting out the final scorecard with the words, “Boom first win of 2015…… Get in. Have that kids. hahaha great fun.”

Ian Poulter might not win the Dad of the Year Award for this move, but at least he’s teaching his kids a valuable lesson once they’re over 21 years old—beer during golf with help erase the memory of a high score.
