Hunter Pence Corrects Erin Andrews During Postgame Interview, She ‘Loves It’

San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence lives his life as if he’s trying to become the next Dos XX interesting man, so you never know what you’re going to get from him. Especially on live television.

Shortly after the Giants dispatched Kansas City in Game 1 of the World Series, Fox’s Erin Andrews corralled Pence for an interview, which went in a different direction than the longtime reporter would have preferred.

Alright, so Pence wasn’t the clubhouse speaker as Andrews was led to believe. No big deal. You can tell she’s a pro’s pro by the way she deflects the moment into the lighthearted realm.

After the Richard Sherman debacle last year, it’s no surprise she’s super quick on her feet. Very nice save.

Also, it’s really weird to see Pence, a man whose default expression is that of disaffected dude playing frisbee with himself on a college campus, be the voice of reason in any situation. I’ll tell you another thing: if Kansas City fans can’t spin this event into a clever Hunter Pence sign or two tonight, they truly don’t belong in the World Series. Dude is just serving up content creation on a silver platter.
