HS Football Team Winning 69-0, Goes For 2-Point Conversion Because They’re Pricks

It’s really sad when a talented high school team doesn’t live up to its potential.

Take the Maine Central Institute Huskies as an example — the squad went 7-2 last season and has eight starters returning on offense and seven returning on defense. The Huskies should be killing people.

Maybe it’s going to take some time to get going because the Huskies barely beat Ellsworth-Sumner over the weekend by a final score of 81-6. The team limped into the locker room at the half, holding a slim 54-0 lead, and then allowed their first touchdown of the season with 16 seconds left in the third quarter. Show some heart, for Christ’s sake!

And the Huskies defense was almost as piss poor — Ellsworth had 0 net rushing yards and got three first downs on Huskies penalties. Three penalties! Those boys better be running laps until the next game.

In all seriousness, I was on a team on the receiving end of this beating, I’d give up at the half. Unlike the rest of the team that gave up at kick off. Especially after Maine Central went for a two point conversion UP 69-0 in 3rd quarter!

Dicks.
