As we learned watching ‘The Endless Summer,’ no surfer can rest easy unless they’re in hot pursuit of the next perfect wave, somehow that pursuit led these guys to the Arctic Circle.
Photographer Chris Burkard teamed up with surfers Patrick Millin, Brett Barley, and Chadd Konig to head on up to the Arctic Circle, get in the water, and go surfing. Why? Because surfers are batsh*t crazy. No sane person would ever willingly get into the water in the North Atlantic, NONE.

Cinematically this is one of those most stunning mini-documentaries I’ve ever seen, it combines my love of winter with my affinity for the water. Realistically though this is a completely insane pursuit, and all of these men are in need of psychological evaluation.
