Harvard won the first NCAA Tournament game in school history last night by shocking New Mexico. The Crimson became the 17th No. 14 seed to knock off a No. 3 seed.
Reaction came quickly, and from various corners.
"America, we are sorry for messing up your brackets and also your financial system and everything else," tweeted the jokesters at the Harvard Lampoon.
And this from Harvard's most famous hoops alum, Jeremy Lin: "YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! HARVARD winssss!!! hahahahhah i told you," he tweeted shortly after the victory.
On Selection Sunday, there was a lot of buzz about how the Lobos were under-seeded. Not so much anymore.
Hey, at least that 10-year deal they signed Steve Alford to this week doesn’t look really bad right now.
