It’s been a pretty awful couple weeks for meat. We’ve got dead horses showing up in Britain and in IKEA meatballs ... and now this.
Mark Hamburger, a free agent righthanded pitcher released by the Houston Astros earlier this month, received a 50-game suspension after failing two tests for recreational drugs.
Hamburger had a cup of coffee with the Texas Rangers in 2007 but his pitching wasn’t tasty enough for big-league ball.
We’re sure this news is tough to swallow.
