haloti-ngata-lift

Haloti Ngata, the 340-pound mountain of a man who plays defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, sees your workout and unleashes a ¬†guttural laugh. Why? Because you’re not doing “get ups” with 150-pound dumbbells.

What’s a get up, you ask.

This is a get up.

I just used my imagination to envision what would happen if I tried to balance 150 pounds above my head with one hand and woke up in a real hospital. Ngata doesn’t exactly make it look easy, but his ability to not have a deadly accident speaks volumes about his strength.

To further cement his reputation as an athletic freak, here he is dunking a basketball without taking a running start.

What a showoff.
