You’ll Get Some Feelings Watching Teemu Selanne After His Last Ever Regular Season Game

Teemu Selanne will retire at the end of the NHL season. While the Anaheim Ducks are heading to the playoffs, this Sunday marked his last ever regular season game.

Selanne was awarded the first, second and third stars of the game by the media to honor his career. Fortuitously, the Ducks were playing the Colorado Avalanche, where Jean-Sebastien Giguere plays. In 2007, Giguere and Selanne led the Ducks to their only Stanley Cup victory.

Selanne invited Giguere to take a lap around the ice with him. That’s when I choked up.
