This team had an open layup for the win and NOPE

The game was all tied up. There was a steal. There was a fastbreak in the other direction. The player simply needed to lay the ball in the basket. Then this happened.

Unbelievable. That might happen 2-3 times a year to a team. Couldn’t ask for worse timing. Here’s video of the play

Luckily, the team that jacked the layup won in overtime. Otherwise, that would have been one of the more painful losses ever.
