Manny has 100 per cent signed his side of the deal,” “It is now over to Mayweather to close the deal and announce the fight.” Pacquiao himself revealed Friday that he has started training in General Santos City, Philippines for his next fight.

According to the report, announcement of the deal can come as soon as this weekend during the opening tip-off the NBA All-Star Game

Mayweather was in New York on Friday, buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery, and there are indications that the unbeaten American boxer could even decide to announce the superfight officially at the NBA All-Star Game tip-off, which takes place on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

The fight will most likely take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on May 2nd. The reported deal is worth 250 million dollars with Mayweather taking in 60 percent of the purse to Pacquiao’s 40 percent.

Of course we should take this report with a grain of salt until everything is 100 percent official. But so far it kooks very likely that the fight will be happening sooner than later.
