Look, I would never call myself an Alex Rodriguez fan. That's why, when I wrote this post, I chose to include the picture of him above. (Because it's one of the funniest and most embarrassing pictures ever taken of an athlete, you see.)

However, even I, ardent A-Rod hater that I am, would have a tough time writing this headline that ESPN published this morning. After a miserable performance by Rodriguez in last night's game, in which the third baseman tallied three strikeouts and a walk, ESPN's Wallace Matthews made this very unfortunate brain fart:

ESPN later changed the headline (without running a correction, interestingly).
