Detroit Tigers pitcher Doug Fister etched his name into the all-time Hardass Book by taking a line drive to the skull during last night’s game and staying on the mound. I’ll say that again: Dude took a rocket to the noggin and didn’t even flinch. Fox showed the replays about 34 times and at no time did it begin to make any sense.

Fister ended up gutting out a brilliant outing, going six-plus innings before departing and watching the Tigers bullpen surrender a couple runs in a 2-0 San Francisco Giants win.
