Detroit Red Wings Fan Tries To Light Lightning Flag On Fire During Game 7, Gets Charged With Arson

The Detroit Red Wings came up short in Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning but you can’t fault Lena Sinishtaj. The 35-year-old Michiganian showed a strong commitment to the team and the gravity of a winner-take-all game by bravely attempting to light a Tampa Bay Lightning flag on fire as it was being passed around the arena.

For her efforts she’s facing an arson charge and being held without bail.

Had the Wings won this little inconvenience would have been totally worth the effort. But no, Mike Babcock’s crew refused to capitalize on myriad opportunities to score and you could argue her actions weren’t worth it.

Especially considering arrest record show she was taken down at 7:45 p.m., mere minutes after the game began.

All in all a night she’d probably like to forget but won’t be able to thanks to pesky criminal record realities.
