Vanderbilt’s Dansby Swanson had a spectacular Monday. First his Commodores dispatched Illinois to earn a place in the College World Series. Then, minutes after the final out was recorded, he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the first overall pick in the MLB Draft.
The perfect timing facilitated an awesome moment as Swanson’s teammates swarmed him in jubilation.
