There is probably no place a college coach wants to be less than in a locker room after his players suffer a career-ending loss. There is also no place or time a college coach is probably needed more.

After taking a beat-down at the hand of Baylor last weekend, Creighton’s men’s basketball coach,¬†Greg McDermott, found himself in just that spot. Season over. Team devastated. And seniors crying their eyes out because their college career is over.

Greg McDermott was up for the challenge. He wasn’t going to let his players hang their heads and feel defeated.
