Bryce Harper stole home plate last night and he did it mostly out of spite. After being plunked intentionally by Philadelphia Phillies’ Cole Hamels, the 19-year-old phenom took off for home on a pickoff throw to first base and made it easily. It’s the first time a teenager has successfully swiped the plate since 1964 and, less scientifically, was extremely badass. Harper and the first-place Washington Nationals lost the game, but for possibly the first time ever, it’s exciting to have Natitude.
