Cleveland Browns Sign Sick 9-Year-Old Boy To One-Day Contract And I’m Not Crying It’s Allergies, Bro

The Cleveland Browns are probably ecstatic about some positive publicity in the wake of their golden boy Johnny Football humming a water bottle at a hecklers dome. But this is some top-shelf classy stuff.

The Browns recently made 9-year-old Dylan Sutcliffe’s dreams come true by signing him to a one-day contract on Tuesday via the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Dylan was diagnosed with ataxia telangiectasia (A-T), a rare genetic disorder that affects numerous organs in the body and leads to neurological issues.

Via Yahoo Sports,

“Ataxia telangiectasia (A-T) is a primary immunodeficiency disease that affects a number of different organs in the body. A rare, recessive genetic disorder that affects between one out of every 40,000-100,000 children worldwide, A-T is a progressive ailment that is characterized by neurological problems, particularly abnormalities of balance, recurrent sinus and respiratory infections and dilated blood vessels in the eyes and on the surface of the skin. Patients also typically have immune system abnormalities and are very sensitive to the effects of radiation.”

Dylan’s obviously been dealt a tough hand, but its refreshing to see his favorite team step up and roll out the red carpet for the courageous dude. Check out the heartwarming pics from signing day below.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
