Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson paid tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting by wearing all of their names on his shoes for tonight’s game against the New York Jets.
He then used those shoes to bust off a 94-yard touchdown run that set a franchise record.

Kudos to Johnson, Victor Cruz and the rest of the professional athletes who have helped the nation grieve over the past couple of days. Small gestures on the public stage go a long way.
