There Was An EPIC Cheerleader Brawl During A SIAC Tournament Game

The SIAC logo has the phrase “We Play Hard” as its slogan, but they also apparently fight really damn hard as well. Or at least the cheerleaders of two of the conference’s teams do.

During halftime of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament game between Albany State and Tuskegee something caused the two cheerleading squads to come to serious blows and, as usual, it was all caught on video.

The SIAC released a statement about the incident, because, damn, that was a hell of a fight.

“The obligation to observe basic principles of sportsmanship and fair play extends to all participants at the SIAC basketball tournament,” the statement reads. “As a consequence of the incident on Tuesday, the cheerleading and dance teams from both Albany State University and Tuskegee University will not be permitted to participate in our tournament for the remainder of the week.”

Albany State also released a statement, which you can see in the video below, as did Tuskegee. Tuskegee won the game 80 to 63 and moved on, in case you were wondering.
